Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pueblo, CO, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to translate development processes into scalable production for solid rocket motors. You will design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing systems, tooling, and SOPs with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and the ability to lead production readiness from development to full scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, or related engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing-related roles OR Master’s with 3+ years OR 9+ years in lieu of degree.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and SOPs to production standards.
• Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and delivering measurable improvements in yield, throughput, or defect reduction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and tooling for solid rocket motors and energetic materials.
• Lead transition of processes from development/pilot scale to full production; define process controls and readiness gates.
• Implement Lean/Six Sigma methods to drive safety, quality, reliability, cost, and throughput improvements.
• Oversee production operations for solid rocket motor assembly and hazardous materials handling; liaise with regulatory/compliance stakeholders.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions; train operations staff.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for planning, budgeting, and milestones.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Development, Safety, and Compliance to embed production practices across the product lifecycle.
