Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Thornton, Colorado invites applications for a Climbing Associate to oversee the rock wall area and drive customer-focused service. You will train teammates, supervise climbing activities, and ensure safety while maintaining brand standards and daily store operations.

You’ll deliver product knowledge, teach climbing techniques, and support events and floor setups. A climbing certification and retail experience are required, with pay ranging from $16.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Climbing certification required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive engagement, training and educational programs for teammates and customers.
• Monitor climbing activities and provide assistance to climbers.
• Direct the workflow and oversee daily operations of the climb department under supervision.
• Offer consultative product knowledge and exceptional customer service within the department.
• Instruct climbing techniques and teach lessons as needed.
• Maintain safety, loss prevention and store standards in the climbing area.
