Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Thornton, CO is seeking a Climbing Associate to lead customer engagement and training in the climb department. You will monitor activities, provide expert product knowledge, and guide climbers of all levels while upholding store standards and safety rules.

Responsibilities include teaching climbing techniques, conducting instructional lessons, and supporting daily operations and team events at the rock wall. Applicants must be 18+ and hold climbing certification.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience is preferred.
• Climbing certification is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old to meet labor-law requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer service to the highest level in the climb department.
• Instruct climbing techniques for beginners to advanced climbers.
• Maintain safety for rock wall and equipment and follow SOPs.
• Assist in team-building events at the rock wall.
• Support store operations and merchandising in the climb area.
