Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks a Climbing Associate to drive engagement, training and education for teammates and customers within the climbing department. You will monitor activities on the rock wall, guide climbers and support daily operations under supervision of the Lead and Assistant Store Manager.

You will uphold safety standards, provide product expertise, and teach climbing techniques to climbers of all ages, ensuring a welcoming, safe and knowledgeable environment across the store.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Climbing certification required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old to comply with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Drive engagement, training and educational programs for teammates and customers.
• Monitor climbing activities and provide assistance to climbers.
• Oversee daily operations of the climb department under direction of Lead/ASMs.
• Maintain safety, loss prevention and company standards within the climbing area.
• Provide consultative product knowledge and teach climbing techniques as needed.
