Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics LLC in Gaithersburg, MD, seeks a software engineer to design and program high-performance robotics automation, assembly and inspection systems for automated reagent dispensing and micro-fluidic assay applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale manufacturing through automation, validate and troubleshoot hardware and software, and contribute to new product development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–5 years in automation software design for manufacturing/ R&D equipment.
• 3–5 years programming with C# .NET in agile teams is required.
• Prior experience with machine vision and image processing preferred.
• Experience with XML, SQL, industrial networking and GUI design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop programs to control manufacturing and R&D equipment and maintain existing programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale manufacturing through automation.
• Configure, validate, and troubleshoot automation software.
• Create technical documents, release notes, and work instructions.
• Participate in design/code reviews and milestone reviews.
• Liaise with external vendors to source equipment and components.
• Support new product development via research and analysis.
