Job summary

1X is seeking a hands-on hardware test engineer to join our Test & Validation team in the US. You will execute thermal, mechanical, and electrical tests and own the end-to-end test process for the NEO hardware ecosystem.

You will set up equipment, collect data, and work with engineering teams to communicate results. The role requires strong problem-solving in a fast-moving lab environment with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a test lab or similar environment.
• Experience setting up and executing tests on complex hardware or electromechanical systems.
• Experience using laboratory equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, power supplies, data acquisition systems, or test equipment.
• Ability to interpret test plans or engineering requirements, configure test setups, and document test results.
• Experience using Excel to organize test data and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Execute safe, repeatable hardware testing to demonstrate product performance, reliability, and failure behavior.
• Own hands-on test execution from equipment prep to teardown and reporting.
• Set up and maintain test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, cabling, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
• Collect traceable test data and produce clear test summaries for engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot test setups and hardware, identify issues, and document failures clearly.
• Maintain test-cell readiness and adapt test setups as priorities change.
