Job summary

1X is hiring a hands-on Battery Test Technician to validate battery and charger systems for the NEO project, working directly with battery hardware, test equipment, and data acquisition to ensure safety and high-quality results.

Join a fast-moving team focused on reliable test procedures, equipment upkeep, and rapid troubleshooting. You will document results and drive improvements in test readiness and lab operations, collaborating with design and electrical engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in battery testing, hardware testing, laboratory operations, or related technical environments.
• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering/tech.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting lab equipment such as power supplies, thermal chambers, and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to interpret test plans, configure setups, collect data, and identify issues during tests.
• Experience using Excel to organize and analyze test data and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on execution of battery and charger validation testing with safe, consistent practices.
• Manage test setup, equipment operation, monitoring, data collection and reporting.
• Maintain and improve test capability, troubleshoot failures, surface issues quickly for root-cause analysis.
• Identify test/equipment/hardware failures and provide context for engineering troubleshooting.
• Improve test repeatability and lab readiness by maintaining equipment and procedures.
