Inside the Role

Purpose/Function: Operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment. Assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.

Skilled Trades position offers pay up to $38.37/hr, depending on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assemble components using hand tools, fixtures, and microscopes.
2. Analyze test results and document findings.
3. Install electrical/electronic parts with soldering and hand tools.
4. Read blueprints and schematics for assembly procedures.
5. Repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
6. Test electromechanical assemblies with test instruments.
7. Verify dimensions with precision measuring tools.
8. Develop, test, and program robots and PLCs.
9. Operate metalworking machines for fabrications.
10. Train others on robot installation and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• English language proficiency, including spelling and grammar.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, electronics, and programming.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with quick adjustment skills.
• Proper use of equipment and routine maintenance skills.

Training Requirements

• Safety, Quality System, Hazardous Waste Management, TOS, Lock-out/Tag-out, Confined Space, Elevated Work.

Physical Demands

• Light to medium effort, frequent lifting, sitting, standing, bending, reaching.
• Use of hands and arms for handling materials and manipulation.
• Work at heights may be required.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Safety glasses, goggles, face shields, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection; respirator if needed.

Work Environment
