SUMMARY:

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for:

• Performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately.
• Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management.
• Performing any additional assignments requested.
• All team members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry or related Quality Assurance experience.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills: Ability to complete Tyson paperwork; lead by example; motivate the hourly workforce; good problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; read and interpret product specifications; function well under stress; flexible to work where and when needed.
• Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
