Job summary

LionsBot USA is seeking a Robotics Service Technician to support US customers with on-site and remote technical services across the United States, including training and calibration of robots.

The role requires regular travel (80%+) with the Dallas–Fort Worth area preferred; you will work from the Carrollton office when not traveling and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and ensure customer success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in robotics/mechatronics/electrical/electronic/mechanical or IT.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience (in-person or remote).
  • Experience leading adult training.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites regularly and provide remote technical support.
  • Work at US Office in Carrollton when not traveling.
  • Provide technical support for onsite sales trials, demonstrations, deployments.
  • Commission robots onsite: map creation/design, cleaning zones programming, testing and calibration.
  • Train and certify customers in use of robots.
  • Provide technical services and troubleshoot (onsite and remote).
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Document service activities and outcomes for visits and calls.
  • Maintain knowledge of latest robot technology to boost satisfaction.

Robotics Service Technicians

Our Robotics Service Technicians partner with our US customers to assist with all technical and servicing situations to ensure top client satisfaction. These field professionals travel regularly (80%+) within the United States.

Qualified candidates residing in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex will be considered first.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (not exhaustive)
  • Traveling to customer sites regularly as well as providing remote technical customer support
  • Working out of the US Office (currently in Carrollton) when not traveling
  • Providing technical support for onsite sales trials, demonstrations, and deployments
  • Commissioning of robots on-site: map creation/design, cleaning zones programming, testing and functional calibration
  • Training and certifying customers in use of robots
  • Providing technical services and troubleshooting support (onsite and remote) to all inquiries/faults encountered by the customers
  • Collaborating with the internal Engineering teams for troubleshooting and resolution
  • Documenting service situations and outcomes for each onsite visit, customer calls, and/or emails
  • Retaining subject matter expertise with the latest cleaning robot technology and advancement in order to enhance customer satisfaction

Our Robotics Service Technicians travel (by driving and flying) to customer sites across the United States regularly along with communicating through emails, phone calls, and virtual meetings are all continual responsibilities of this role. These professionals liaise between our internal teams and our clients to develop the best solution for all parties while documenting pertinent details for customer recordkeeping to support the decided-upon resolutions.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to our US Service Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in the robotics/mechatronics, electrical, electronic, mechanical, information technology or equivalent focus of study
  • 2+ years of working experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields
  • 1+ years of professional experience performing customer service in-person and/or remotely
  • Previous working experience leading adult training
  • Ability to regularly travel throughout North America (80%+)
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Holds a valid Driver's License
  • Has an insured reliable vehicle (to travel to local customer sites)
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • Successfully fulfill pre-employment onboarding requirements including background checks for criminal and motor vehicle records
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Firm technical knowledge/experience of diagrams, engineering schematics and/or electrical diagrams
  • Prior experience in technical sales and/or technical after-sales supportProven work history of creating strong business relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful and creative problem-solver
  • Able to work successfully independently as well as part of an agile team
  • Eager to learn with a customer-centric approach
  • Detail oriented and high organizational skills
