Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a senior Robotics Reliability & Maintenance Strategy Lead to define, deploy, and improve the maintenance strategy for robotic and automated systems across its global Power Transmission manufacturing network. This role will serve as the authoritative voice on maintenance topics at sites worldwide, including Charleroi.

The candidate will lead central strategy definition, site‑level implementation, workforce capability development, and performance measurement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering - or equivalent technical field
Minimum 12 to 16 years of experience in industrial maintenance for Robotics & automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience defining or deploying maintenance strategies for robotic or automated equipment at scale, with multi-site or central function experience strongly preferred
Deep understanding of industrial robotics systems - collaborative robots, industrial arms, AGVs/AMRs, automated cells - and their specific maintenance requirements
Knowledge of OT/IT integration principles as they apply to condition monitoring and asset health management
Fluent English - written and spoken - mandatory
Willingness and ability to travel internationally to PT manufacturing sites (20 -30 %)
Structured thinker with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical standards and training that sites can actually use
Strong influencing skills - able to drive adoption of standards without formal authority over site teams
Collaborative team player
Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environments is preferred
Familiarity with structured reliability methodologies

Responsibilities

Define and maintain the central maintenance strategy for robotics and automation technologies across the global manufacturing network.
Embed maintenance requirements into technical specs for new automation projects from concept through FAT/SAT and ramp‑up.
Coordinate with other GE Vernova businesses to share best practices and align with common standards.
Support sites in translating the central strategy into local implementation plans.
Act as a technical escalation resource for complex maintenance challenges across sites deploying new automation systems.
Conduct site readiness assessments before go‑live.
Capture and disseminate lessons learned from first‑deployer sites.
Define competency requirements and develop standardized job profiles and skills matrices.
Design training pathways linked to automation technologies in partnership HR and PT Academy.
Define methodology for measuring operational performance of automated systems (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
Develop framework for measuring benefit delta and KPI dashboards for robotic assets.
Ensure business cases include Total Cost of Ownership modeling and tracking post‑deployment actuals.
Identify opportunities to evolve maintenance strategies toward predictive/condition‑based approaches.
Contribute to Skills & Ecosystem with robotics maintenance training partnerships with universities and technical schools.
