Job summary

GE Vernova in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Robotics & Automation Engineer to join the Industrialization team, shaping production-ready automation from concept to stable operation. You will design, develop, program, and deploy robotic systems across generator manufacturing, integrating AI/ML, sensors, and control software, with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing robotics; proficiency in C++,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
3+ years of experience with robotics and automation in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in C++, Python and knowledge of control systems, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of advanced robotic systems throughout Generator Manufacturing processes.
Design and develop blueprints and prototypes for robots and automated systems, including structures, circuits, and control interfaces.
Program robot movements and develop control algorithms and software to manage robotics systems.
Integrate sensors, AI, and ML to enhance robot autonomy and interaction with environments.
Test, debug, and maintain robotic hardware and software to ensure reliable, safe performance.
Provide installation, calibration, operation and technical support for robotic systems.
