Albany Medical Center seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services perioperative team. You will work with surgeons, gain hands-on exposure to DaVinci Xi, dv5, and Mako robotics, and assist diverse surgical specialties in a mentorship-driven environment.

The role emphasizes first/second assist in the OR, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of appropriate education as described.
• Licensed and actively registered as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Ability to master computer-based recordkeeping and billing systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• ACLS/BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures, including robotic assist across multiple specialties.
• Perform first- and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain proficiency in evolving techniques.
