Job summary

Genesis is seeking a manufacturing leader to take general-purpose robots from engineering builds to volume production at our California facility. You will design the production process, own the transfer to production partners, and lead engineers and technicians to deliver reliable, scalable manufacturing.

You will define capacity, fixtures, testing, documentation and quality gates, while partnering with Supply Chain and contract manufacturers to ensure on-time readiness and repeatable yield.

Qualifications

• Taken complex electromechanical product from prototype through pilot to volume with process design.
• Transferred a process to contract manufacturers and enforced standards.
• Strong manufacturing engineering base: time studies, line balancing, capacity planning.
• Fixture, tooling design, test strategy, PFMEA and control plans; lean and continuous improvement.
• CAD and GD&T fluency; hands-on on the floor daily with data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design the production process: layout, cycle time, line balancing, station design, end-of-line test and calibration.
• Capacity planning: stations, equipment, people and hours by build phase, from first units to rate.
• Specify, source and commission fixtures, tooling and test equipment with Supply Chain.
• Own process documentation under revision control: work instructions with photos, PFMEA, control plans, SOPs; align BOMs.
• Run the transfer from engineering builds to production: pilot builds, DFMA/DFI feedback, readiness reviews, release to volume.
• Package the process so it can be copied: one documented set of stations, fixtures, test, instructions and training.
• Build and lead the team: manufacturing engineers, test engineers and technicians; hiring, training and certification.
• Own the quality gate: first-pass yield, defect capture, root cause (8D, SPC, DOE), closed-loop feedback.
• Partner with Supply Chain and manufacturing partner to ensure complete kits and on-time readiness.
• Stand up the systems: serial traceability, MES-lite and full MES, weekly yield and cost readouts.
