Job summary

Genesis seeks a manufacturing leader to take robotic products from engineering builds to full production at our CA facility. You will design the initial production stations, define work instructions, and manage the partner’s team to meet our quality and yield standards.

You will own the production process, lead engineers and technicians, and ensure traceability, PFMEA, and control plans. Travel to partner sites up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• You have taken a complex electromechanical product from prototype through pilot to volume.
• You have transferred a process to a contract manufacturer and upheld your standards.
• Strong manufacturing engineering foundation: time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, fixture and tooling design, test strategy, PFMEA and control plans, lean and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design the production process: layout and cycle time, line balancing, station and fixture design, end-of-line test and calibration, material flow.
• Own the transfer from engineering builds to production: pilot builds, DFM and DFA feedback with authority to push back, release to volume.
• Build and lead the team: manufacturing engineers, test engineers and technicians; hiring pace, training and certification.
• Own the quality gate: first-pass yield, defect capture, root cause (8D, SPC, DOE), closed-loop feedback to engineering and suppliers.
