Job summary

Genesis AI is building autonomous, full-stack robot systems and seeks a seasoned Supply Chain Lead to create and manage a robust supplier network for hardware production. You will source and qualify domestic suppliers, manage substantial BOM cost roll-ups, and drive multi-source strategies to ensure reliable part availability for fast-paced manufacturing.

You will work closely with design, Manufacturing, legal, and partners, traveling to facilities and suppliers as needed to maintain schedule

Qualifications

• 8+ years in supply chain, sourcing or supplier development for complex hardware.
• Experience with machined and cast metal parts, gears or actuators, motors, PCBAs and harnesses.
• Fluency with BOMs, change control, should-cost and cost roll-ups.

Responsibilities

• Be on the floor: work at our facility, with partners and suppliers; manage first articles and line-down recoveries.
• Build supplier base: source, qualify and manage suppliers for machined and cast structures, gears, motors, PCBAs, harnesses and sensors, with dual sourcing for critical subsystems.
• Develop domestic suppliers for key subsystems and maintain content records for regulated markets.
• Run day-to-day commercial work: RFQs, should-cost, price and tooling negotiation, payment and warranty terms; collaborate with Legal on supplier agreements.
• Participate in design reviews from start: flag long-lead, single-source and high-risk parts; bring supplier capability into design.
• Own clear-to-build and the plan: ensure complete kits, rolling capacity plan, and on-time delivery with suppliers and partners.
• Own BOM in production: cost roll-ups by phase, change control with design and Manufacturing Engineering, cost-down from pilot to volume.
• Build supplier quality loop with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality: first article, PPAP, incoming inspection, supplier scorecards, corrective action and recovery.
• Run logistics: inbound, between facility and partner, import/export paperwork with Legal, spares and service parts.
• Manage weekly numbers: clear-to-build, on-time delivery, PPV, inventory; stand up new systems as needed.
