Job summary

Genesis is seeking a seasoned manufacturing engineer to take the robot from engineering builds to production. Our CA facility introduces the process, builds the first stations, and trains technicians; volume production runs with a partner, and you own the process in both cases.

You design the production process, lead engineers and technicians, own the quality gate, and partner with Supply Chain to ensure complete kits. Stand up systems as we grow, with traceability and yield metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering or production, ideally in a mature organization.
• Proven ability to take a complex electromechanical product from prototype to volume.
• Experience transferring a process to contract manufacturers and enforcing standards.

Responsibilities

• Design the production process: layout, cycle time, line balancing, fixtures, end-of-line testing.
• Plan capacity: stations, equipment, people and hours per build phase.
• Specify, source and commission fixtures, tooling and test equipment with Supply Chain.
• Own process documentation with photos, PFMEA, control plans and SOPs.
• Lead transfer from engineering builds to production, including pilot runs and DFx feedback.
• Package the process for copyable deployment on partner floors.
• Build and lead the team of manufacturing engineers, test engineers and technicians.
• Own the quality gate: first-pass yield, root cause analysis, and closed-loop actions.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for clear-to-build kits and with partners for consistent execution.
• Stand up systems: traceability, MES-lite then full MES, and report weekly metrics.
