Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Systems, Electronics & Test Fixtures in San Jose. You will lead a team of engineers and contribute hands-on to PCB/PCBA, test fixtures, and electromechanical systems within RAD.

This role emphasizes manufacturing readiness, regulatory compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain. The role requires 10+ years in relevant fields, 2+ years as a people leader, and strong expertise in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 2+ years as a people leader developing teams.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, or related technical operations.
• Strong hands-on background in electronics, PCBA, electromechanical systems, or manufacturing test equipment.
• Strong understanding of GMPs and documentation for production processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, prioritization, accountability, and team development.
• Drive accountability around ownership, communication, documentation quality, and execution.
• Balance workload across team members and ensure resources are aligned to priorities.
• Promote teamwork, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
• Lead design, troubleshooting, validation, and production activities for electronics and fixtures.
• Drive manufacturing deliverables across NPI, sustaining programs, validation, and production support.
