Job summary

Formic Technologies Inc. is seeking a Robotics Field Service Technician to join our Fleet Operations team.

You will perform preventive maintenance, directed repairs, and on-site support at customer facilities, ensuring uptime and reliability of robotic systems. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on field service in automation, strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, and experience with CMMS for maintenance logging.

Qualifications

2+ years hands‑on field service or maintenance in robotics/industrial automation.
Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotics control.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
Experience using CMMS to track maintenance activity.
Willingness to travel locally up to 80% and overnight up to 50%.
Clear written and verbal communication with structured service docs.
Safety-focused with disciplined field execution and following instructions.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells per checklists.
Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs as assigned.
Respond to on-site service calls and document steps taken.
Provide hands-on technical support to operators and maintenance teams.
Log service activity and parts in CMMS systems; update assets.
Coordinate day-to-day logistics with customers and internal teams.
Monitor system performance with dashboards and report anomalies.
Escalate complex issues to engineering and participate in RCA.
