Job summary

Stäubli Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Robotics division to diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial robotic systems at customer sites. You will serve as a technical expert and customer-facing representative, traveling across North America to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support ongoing service contracts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial automation, robotics, controls, or manufacturing equipment.
• Able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
• Fluent English (reading/writing).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and controls-related issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
• Train customer maintenance and operations personnel.
• Document service activities, root cause analyses, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, spare parts, and sales teams.
• Support emergency service calls and customer downtime situations.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and customer site requirements.
• Maintain accurate service reports (CRM) and expense documentation.
• Adhere to all safety, quality and environmental standards.
