Job summary

Agile Robots is seeking a Robot Service & Support Engineer to lead technical deployments, diagnose complex issues, and perform hands-on repair on robotic systems. You will work closely with R&D and customers to ensure reliable operation in real-world environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, knowledge of control systems, and programming in Python/C++/PLC, plus travel across the U.S. and to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/CS/Robotics or related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, control systems.
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, C++, PLC).
• Strong analytical problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Willingness to travel regionally and across the U.S. for hands-on service.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced knowledge of robot kinematics, electrical control systems, and software to support deployment and performance.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for customer issues, diagnosing problems and coordinating with R&D.
• Lead on-site and in-house service engagements, plan repair strategies, and perform component replacements.
• Perform root-cause analysis using schematics, test data, and logs to drive improvements.
• Create lessons learned reports and service notes; contribute to knowledge base.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and R&D to feed field findings into product improvements.
• Define service kit and spare parts requirements for the region and ensure diagnostic tools are calibrated.
