Job summary

Tutor Intelligence is seeking a technically strong Customer Engineer to own how robotic systems behave in real-world environments. You’ll work at the boundary between product and deployment, investigating complex issues, partnering with customers, and driving fixes that scale across the fleet.

You’ll collaborate with customers, Success Managers, and R&D to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and push improvements that prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years in robotics, automation, or complex hardware–software systems
• Hands-on experience with real-world robotic or automation systems
• Strong systems thinking across software, hardware and real-world environments
• Ability to debug ambiguous, real-world issues using logs, telemetry and data

Responsibilities

• Own real-world system behavior across environments, configurations, and product types
• Lead complex system investigations using logs, telemetry, and on-site context
• Drive root-cause and system-level fixes to prevent recurrence across the fleet
• Identify and scale improvements from deployments into product fixes or new capabilities
• Collaborate with R&D to test hypotheses, validate fixes in production, improve robustness
• Engage directly with customers in high-impact situations and maintain technical credibility
• Develop tools and playbooks to improve diagnosing and resolving issues across the team
