Job summary

Genentech seeks a Senior Principal Robotics Engineer for the Holly Springs Greenfield project to design and fully implement a robotics program transforming manual operations into a Smart Factory with AMRs, AGVs, and AS/RS integration.

Initially remote/onsite, then on-site ownership of robotics systems, with 24/7 support, up to 30% travel during the project, and IT/OT collaboration while upholding GMP, data integrity, and site safety.

Qualifications

Proven robotics design, deployment and maintenance experience.
Experience integrating robotics with enterprise/manufacturing systems is a must.
Knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11 and Data Integrity is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the Holly Springs robotics strategy and program.
Serve as site-based robotics systems owner with 24/7 support once live.
Lead and potentially manage a robotics engineering team in the future.
Join Robotics Project Implementation Team (PIT) for standards and integration.
Lead Smart Factory transition with AMRs, AGVs, and AS/RS across end-to-end flows.
Create capability roadmaps and ROI justifications for robotic interventions.
Support end-to-end system qualification and IT/OT integration.
Ensure safety, health, and compliance in daily operations and projects.
