I C Automation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support custom automation equipment and robotic systems from concept through installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 2–10+ years of machine design experience (entry-level candidates with strong internships considered).
• Proficiency with Inventor, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, servo applications, linear motion systems, and structural design.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automation equipment and robotic systems using 3D CAD software.
• Develop complete machine layouts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Design robotic cells, machine tending systems, conveyors, material handling systems, EOAT, safety guarding, weldments.
• Perform tolerance stack-up and mechanical calculations.
• Review customer specifications and support project estimating.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers.
• Release manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support procurement, fabrication, assembly, debug, and machine runoff.
• Participate in customer design reviews, FATs, SATs, installations, and commissioning.
• Develop engineering standards and continuously improve design practices.
