Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Robotics Engineer in Houston, TX to support a growing portfolio of manufacturing and automation projects across North America. You will work on robotics and automation from concept to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

The role offers exposure to ABB, FANUC, KUKA, and other major robotics platforms, with opportunities to travel to customer sites and contribute across design, simulation, and startup phases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or controls engineering.
• Experience programming and integrating industrial robots.
• Strong preference for ABB robotics experience.
• Engineers with FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or other industrial robotics experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with robotic simulation and offline programming tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing automation, material handling, or production systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot robotic and automated systems independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and integrate industrial robotic systems.
• Develop and validate robotic simulations and offline programming solutions.
• Support automation projects from concept development through commissioning and startup.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve robotic manufacturing processes.
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams throughout project execution.
• Support greenfield and brownfield automation projects across a range of manufacturing environments.
• Participate in factory acceptance testing, site commissioning, and startup activities.
• Travel to customer sites as required for project support and implementation.
