Job summary

Autoliv Group is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, program, implement and maintain high-performance automation systems on the production floor. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize efficiency, quality and reliability using PLCs, HMIs, robotics and motion control.

The role requires hands-on experience with Rockwell Studio 5000, vision systems, sensors, and networks, and a willingness to travel for training and launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive or regulated manufacturing environments with automated production systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, controls, robotics, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated manufacturing equipment (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control).
• Program, integrate, and optimize industrial robots for assembly, material handling, inspection and other processes.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs (Rockwell Studio 5000) for reliable machine performance.
• Support integration of vision systems, sensors, barcode scanners, and industrial networks to enhance automation quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to improve equipment performance and safety compliance.
• Assist with launches and provide on-floor support during critical production events.
