CloudKitchens in Santa Monica is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead shifts, ensure SOP compliance, and bridge software-guided operations with hands-on leadership in a high-tech automated kitchen.

You will oversee protein, vegetable, and sauce prep, maintain strict food safety standards, and manage sanitation, weights, and general inventory. You will coach the team, support robot interactions, and work onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience with team leadership or shift management.
• Meticulous attention to portioning and weighing ingredients (e.g., salt).
• Ability to follow software-guided SOPs and adapt to tech-driven protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to coach teams and maintain high food safety standards.
• Comfort working in an automated kitchen environment (robotics training provided).

Responsibilities

• Own the shift end-to-end, executing standardized recipes for proteins, vegetables, and sauces per software-guided SOPs.
• Conduct per-shift quality checkpoints, taste tests, and log results to prevent drift in quality.
• Manage sanitation with strict nightly cleaning protocols and robot component washing.
• Coach staff and lead new hire shadowing and certification.
• Operate kitchen technology and robot interactions, including loading hoppers and basic troubleshooting.
• Perform end-of-week inventory counts to identify reorder needs.
