Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Worksite Tech Deployment Manager to lead field operations deploying robotic and autonomous solutions at customer sites and branches.

You will own end-to-end deployment, inventory and fleet readiness, and on-site commissioning while coordinating with vendors and branch teams. You will manage a field deployment team, establish playbooks, and optimize data-driven workflows using cloud platforms and AI partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent operational experience considered.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in field operations, logistics, project/event execution, or technology operations, with 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead distributed and remote teams, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong logistics and operational acumen - proven ability to build process where none exists and drive efficiency at scale.
• Experience with telematics, robotics, autonomous systems, or connected-equipment platforms strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deployment of robotic and autonomous solutions at customer worksites and branches - planning, mobilization, install, commissioning, and handoff.
• Build and lead a field deployment team supplemented by qualified third-party partners where surge capacity or specialized skills are needed.
• Establish repeatable playbooks for site readiness, safety, install standards, and commissioning.
• Operationalize worksite data by working with cloud-based construction management platforms and AI partners to inform workflows and decisions.
• Be on-site for priority deployments and events as needed, acting as the operational lead with vendors and branch teams.
• Manage inventory and fleet readiness for robotics and telematics devices; coordinate with 3PL partners.
• Lead telematics field operations and supervise third-party vendors to ensure data integrity and uptime.
• Oversee safety compliance across field operations, including OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Provide executive-level reporting on deployment performance and readiness.
