Job summary

Dexmate in Fremont, CA seeks a hands-on robotics demonstrator to run live product demos at our office, customer sites, and trade events. You will set up, script tasks, troubleshoot in real time, and keep the robot on task while addressing deep technical questions. You’ll also support pilots and feed customer feedback to engineering.

You are comfortable on concrete floors, travel about 30%, and can clearly explain complex systems to buyers. This role blends hardware work with customer engagement.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years hands-on experience with physical robots in any setting (lab, industry, or competitions).
• Degree in robotics, automation, mechatronics, mechanical/electrical engineering, or CS, or proven equivalent.
• Proficient in Python to script demos, automate steps, and parse logs.
• Comfort with ROS/ROS 2 and diagnosing issues under time pressure.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical buyers without oversimplifying.
• Maintain composure when demos go off-script and audience is watching.
• Willing to travel around 30% and handle unglamorous setup tasks.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Run live demos for prospects, partners, and press at multiple venues.
• Own demo readiness: setup, calibration, scripting, teardown, shipping, field repair.
• Build a demo library showing capabilities on real customer use cases.
• Join sales calls as the technical voice on payload, reach, cycle time, safety, and integration.
• Scope and support pilot deployments: define success criteria, configure robot, train operators.
• Staff trade show booths with long hours on your feet.
• Provide structured customer feedback to product/engineering.
• Create technical collateral: demo scripts, one-pagers, and FAQs.
