Generalist AI, Inc. is seeking a data partnerships lead to own our data supply engine. You will identify and onboard data partners, translate complex requirements into executable specs, and structure commercial terms.

You’ll manage a global partner network, scale operations, and provide clear dashboards and updates to research leadership. You will collaborate with ML and engineering leads to ensure data availability, quality, and scalability across geographies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years owning external partners or vendors who delivered a product or service to you.
• Experience standing up a new vendor from zero: selection, diligence, contracting, ramp, and ongoing management.
• Ability translate technical or specialist requirements into unambiguous instructions for non-technical execution partners.
• Fluency with commercial mechanics — pricing structures, SOWs, acceptance criteria, unit economics.
• Exceptional written communication; able to produce documents others execute without you.
• Comfort operating with incomplete requirements and re-scoping mid-flight while maintaining relationships.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• <b>Data supply strategy.</b> Define buy vs build, map vendor landscape, provide recommendations.
• <b>Vendor sourcing and diligence.</b> Identify, evaluate, and pilot data partners; run structured trials.
• <b>Requirements elicitation.</b> Gather volumes, environments, embodiments, annotation schemas, acceptance criteria.
• <b>Translation and specification.</b> Write partner-facing specs with clear delivery units and acceptance criteria.
• <b>Commercial terms.</b> Structure pricing, MSAs, SOWs, and unit economics.
• <b>Scaling a partnership.</b> Expand capacity without sacrificing quality or cost.
• <b>Operating cadence.</b> Track progress with weekly reviews and shared cost/volume metrics.
• <b>Closing the loop.</b> Report findings to research and iterate specs for next cycle.
• <b>Travel.</b> Periodic domestic and international partner site visits.
