Job summary

Matrix Design is seeking an Automation Technician to support programming, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of robotic systems. This on-site role may be at Matrix Design facilities or at client locations, focusing on reliability and manufacturing efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues with PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems, and help optimize robotic processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with robotic systems in a manufacturing or automation environment.
• Experience with robotic integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, safety protocols, and industrial standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test robotic and automated systems based on engineering specifications.
• Provide on-site support for equipment installation and commissioning at customer facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on robotic equipment and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to robotics, PLCs, and system integration.
• Assist in programming, calibration, and optimization of robotic systems.
• Document work performed, including maintenance logs, troubleshooting steps, and updates to schematics.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to company and industry safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support automation project implementation.
