Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to build, program, maintain, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment. The role involves PLC and robot logic, fixture building, and high‑voltage electrical troubleshooting on a fast‑paced shop floor.

The candidate should have strong electro‑mechanical skills, robotics experience with Fanuc/Allen Bradley systems, and proficiency with welding and machining to fabricate custom fixtures and tooling.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in PLC programming, relay logic, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, ABB, KUKA robotics and automated conveyors.
• Welding experience with MIG/TIG/ARC and metalworking machining.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, program, and commission automated/robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues and perform repairs on servo motors, encoders, and circuit boards.
• Develop and debug robotic path motions and PLC logic to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Fabricate fixtures, housings and tooling with lathe, mill, and welding equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and service records.
