Job summary

Wichita State University’s NIAR ARC Robotics & Automation team is seeking a student assistant to perform administrative and technical tasks under supervision. You will assist and mentor others and support campus activities as needed.

The role focuses on developing automated systems for industrial applications, with opportunities to participate in research and provide hands-on support in intelligent manufacturing. On-site work is required and a minimum of 20 hours per week is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design automated systems for industrial applications within the Robotics & Automation group.
• Support research and design activities for diverse clients in intelligent manufacturing.
• Assist in enabling digital twin technologies through simulation, verification, and closed-loop sustainment.
