Job summary

GNS North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform routine and corrective maintenance on robotic, electrical, and mechanical systems in our Michigan facility.

You will diagnose and repair ABB robots, hydraulic components, and conveyors, while reading blueprints and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with machines and tools is necessary.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Good command of English in grammar and language.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, test, maintain and remove electrical equipment and panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using instruments and diagnostics.
• Repair ABB robotic equipment and servo motors as needed.
• Maintain mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Read blueprints for conveyors, robots, and material handling systems.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment; use hand/power tools.
• Document service records and perform preventive maintenance.
• Mentor and train junior technicians; communicate across shifts.
• Comply with safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly.
