Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to repair and calibrate their automated and robotic systems, including adapters, lifts, and robotic vehicles. The role focuses on system upkeep, CMMS documentation, and ensuring high-throughput performance in a demanding, on-site environment.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or certification in electronics/automation, 3+ years of experience with mechanical automation, PLC troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or certification in electronics, automation, manufacturing or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems or equivalent
• Ability to troubleshoot and follow electro-mechanical diagrams
• Must be able to operate and run automated systems
• Experience with PLC knowledge and troubleshooting
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to follow electro-mechanical diagrams
• Proficient in performing all inspection functions
• Ability to work independently following procedures and manuals

Responsibilities

• Inspect systems associated with automated storage and retrieval systems and adapters/lifts
• Calibrate, repair, replace, or modify system components to maintain operations
• Monitor flow of the automated system through adapters to maximize throughput
• Troubleshoot robotic vehicle anomalies using diagrams and test equipment
• Document all actions and parts used in CMMS with accurate labor entries
• Communicate production-impacting issues and recommended actions clearly
• Work in dynamic environments and adapt to business needs
• Perform minor utility tasks and assist with robotic arms setup and calibration
