Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician at all levels to repair and calibrate its automated robotic systems, adapters and lifts. You will become the system expert for mechanical, PLC, electrical, and electronic subsystems, performing inspections and maintaining high readiness.

You will document repairs in CMMS, lead continuous operation, and troubleshoot robotic vehicle anomalies. The role requires 3+ years in mechanical automation and willingness to work in a demanding

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing or equivalent work experience preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems or educational/training equivalent.
• Must be able to operate and run Automated systems, PLC knowledge, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on Automated Storage and Retrieval System components and related adapters/lifts.
• Lead continuous operation by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing or modifying system components.
• Document all actions and repairs in CMMS with parts used and labor.
• Troubleshoot automated robotic vehicle anomalies using schematics, wiring diagrams and test equipment.
• Communicate production-impacting problems and corrective actions to the team with estimated repair time.
• Assist with minor utility work and cell operator functions as needed.
