Job summary

Accenture in the United States is seeking a Robotics Automation Engineer to design, program, and deploy industrial robots, cobots, and AMRs/AGVs across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics. You will integrate robots with conveyors, vision, PLCs, MES, and ERP, and develop control logic using ROS/ROS 2, Python, and C++.

Travel up to 75% is expected; requires 3+ years in robotics and familiarity with FANUC/ABB/KUKA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant robotics automation experience.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one industrial robot or cobot ecosystem.
• Understanding of robotics fundamentals, safety and operation.
• Experience integrating robotics with automation equipment and processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot across hardware/software.
• Familiarity with the Physical AI lifecycle and simulation/training concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years).

Responsibilities

• Design, program, configure and deploy industrial robots, cobots, AMRs/AGVs.
• Integrate robots with end effectors, conveyors, safety, vision, sensors and PLCs.
• Develop robot programs and control logic using OEM tools, ROS/ROS 2, Python or C++.
• Support cell design, layout validation, safety assessment and equipment selection.
• Use digital twins/simulation for offline programming and validation.
• Support robotics intelligence capabilities such as localization and motion planning.
• Contribute to training/validation workflows and simulation-to-real transfer.
• Integrate robots with orchestration platforms for coordination and monitoring.
• Perform testing: integration, safety, hardware-in-the-loop and production-readiness.
• Troubleshoot software, controls, network, sensors, and mechanical issues during commissioning.
• Document programs, interfaces, configurations, and runbooks.
