Job summary

FORVIA is seeking a Robotic Welding Engineer to drive productivity, quality, cost and safety goals. The role supports existing business and new product launches, coordinating equipment improvements for robots and related systems.

The engineer will lead project development, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include planning customer/facility projects, reducing downtime, supporting QRCI, and developing standards for repair, spare

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Information Technology or equivalent is preferred.
• OR 10 years as a process technician and commitment to further education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment improvements to assure manufacturing, maintainability and HSE requirements are met on all technical equipment including robots.
• Plan development aspects of customer and facility related projects.
• Contribute to minimizing down time and improve TRS.
• Facilitate project integrity and success against identified goals.
• Identify and develop standards for equipment repair, spare parts inventory, set up, and operations.
• Facilitate and support production teams in continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and implement projects targeted on cost reductions, safety, ergonomics, change-over, standardization, productivity, and product quality improvements.
• Support new product launches and engineering change activities including quotations, equipment purchases, line manning and balancing, documentation.
