Job summary

Feldmeier Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize advanced welding systems across manual, robotic, and cobot operations.

You will serve as the technical authority on welding automation, programming, process control, metallurgy, weld quality, and production performance. You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to drive automation through robotic welding cells, cobot applications, and data-driven process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in welding/manufacturing/mechanical engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years welding engineering experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robotic welding programming and automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and stainless steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy and distortion control.
• Experience with robotic process optimization, machine vision, seam tracking, or adaptive control systems.

Responsibilities

• Robotic & Cobots: Program, optimize, and troubleshoot robotic and cobot welding systems.
• Develop robotic weld paths, teach points, and welding sequences for new products.
• Support integration of robotic platforms.
• Evaluate opportunities for automation and robotic process deployment.
• Lead commissioning and validation of new robotic welding cells and automated equipment.
