Job summary

Vander-Bend, a division of Vantedge Medical, is seeking a Robotic Welding Engineer to develop and optimize automated welding processes. You will lead robot welding for new products and drive continuous improvement in quality, cycle times, and safety.

Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to deliver robust weld solutions for high-volume manufacturing, including tooling design, process validation, and manufacturing support for NPI launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
Equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, commission, and optimize robotic welding systems for new and existing products.
Establish robust welding parameters to maximize quality and throughput.
Lead startup activities, process validation, and production release for robotic weld cells.
Troubleshoot welding, robotic, and automation issues; support CAPA and MSA activities.
Develop welding standards and best practices across production lines.
