Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Robotic Welding Engineer to drive productivity, quality, cost improvements, and safety goals at the Toledo, OH facility. You will support existing business and new product launches, coordinating equipment improvements, planning project development, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across robot systems.

The role requires strong background in electrical engineering and automated welding, with experience in PLCs, HMI, servo drives, and robot troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or 10 years as a process technician.
• Strong PLC, HMI, servo control, and robot troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with design, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment improvements to meet manufacturing, maintainability and HSE on robots.
• Plan development aspects of customer and facility related projects.
• Contribute to reducing downtime and improve TRS.
• Support production teams in continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and implement projects targeting cost reductions and quality improvements.
• Support new product launches including equipment and tool purchases and line balancing.
