Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st Robotic Welder Operator for New Hope, MN, to join a growing contract manufacturer serving diverse markets. You will program and set up fixtures, assist in fixture design, and ensure weld quality across various positions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years programming experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of robotics and welding preferred.
• Ability to complete jobs with minimal rejects due to cosmetics.
• Ability to weld components in various positions and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Program and set-up fixtures to hold metal components for welding.
• Participate in fixture design to enable productive welding of parts.
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts; install fixtures.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate quality and conformance.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind spare parts as needed.
• Audit quality and rework or complete missing welds after robotic process.
