Qualifications

• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets to weld scheduled work.
• Pass and maintain weld certificates (AWS, CWB, and customer requirements).
• Set up, operate, and perform maintenance on welding equipment.
• Make precise mathematical calculations for finished welds.
• Physically capable of performing required tasks with safety at the forefront.
• Commit to safety practices and participate in LEAN activities.
• Know Valmont quality procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld and clean welds to specification.
• Record labor and move tags upon completion.
• Load and unload completed parts.
• Assess weld quality and report to QA/Leadperson/Supervisor when needed.
• Set up machines to required settings for usable parts.
• Use blueprints to determine weld procedures for sound welds.
