Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. in Abingdon, MD, is seeking a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to lead boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys. The successful candidate will operate robotic survey equipment and integrate GPS/GNSS data, interpreting plans and ensuring data accuracy on site.

You’ll work as a one-person robotic crew when needed, with coordination from project managers and field teams to deliver precise survey results and reliable stakeout information for our projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a survey crew or party chief role.
• Experience using robotic and GPS equipment on field surveys.
• Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and cut sheets.
• Basic AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
• Utilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey data.
• Ability to work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teams.
• Interpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculations.
• Conduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys.
