Job summary

Staffmark Group in Dayton, OH is hiring a Spray Coat Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on operating robotic and manual spray chambers to apply specialized coatings to biomedical components, with a strong emphasis on quality and process efficiency.

The position offers a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour with potential increase after hire, and a first shift from 6am to 2:30pm. Experience in manufacturing and with automated equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of stable work history with strong employment tenure.
• Experience in a mechanically inclined role such as machinist, automotive technician, maintenance technician, machine operator, or similar field.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working with automated or robotic equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of components received from the grit-blasting department.
• Operate robotic and manual spray chambers to apply specialized coatings to biomedical components.
• Coat medical products including knee and hip replacement components according to customer specifications.
• Monitor equipment controls and production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including filter changes, chamber cleaning, and equipment upkeep.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain accurate production records and comply with all safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
