Job summary

KBR seeks a Robotic & Autonomous Systems Test Methodology Lead to shape the DT&E approach for Naval Test Wing Atlantic’s robotic mission at Patuxent River, Maryland. You will apply established principles, adapt existing methodologies, and define new resources to mature DT&E across evolving robotic systems.

The role requires independence, technical judgment, and the ability to translate test experience into practical processes that support ongoing test programs and tools development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, physics, CS, aviation or related technical discipline.
• 10 years of experience in developmental test and evaluation of complex military systems.
• Experience developing, reviewing, and executing test plans, procedures, risk-management products, data requirements, and test reports.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maturation of robotic and autonomous systems test methodologies, standards, and resources.
• Apply developmental test principles to emerging robotic and autonomous systems, adapting existing approaches.
• Develop standardized approaches for test planning, risk management, execution, data analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership, engineers, operators, and stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities to improve DT&E effectiveness and consistency.
• Identify requirements for new test tools, workflows, data systems, and templates; define functional requirements as SME.
• Support development of training, reference materials, and guidance to promote consistent RAS DT&E practices.
• Provide technical recommendations to leadership and coordinate with Navy, DoD, industry and other test organizations.
