Job summary

KBR, through its Mission Technology Solutions, seeks a USV Developmental Test Project Officer to lead developmental test and evaluation activities for unmanned surface vessels and related mission systems supporting Naval Test Wing Atlantic. The role acts as primary test integrator, coordinating plans, resources, and data to safely achieve objectives.

The position emphasizes test leadership and program execution, with potential hands-on operation of USVs based on qualifications and program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline; relevant unmanned-systems experience may substitute.
• At least 10 years of experience planning, coordinating, or leading complex test and evaluation activities.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resources for complex test events.
• Understanding of test planning, risk management, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with USV, maritime, robotic/autonomous systems testing and support.
• Demonstrated leadership and coordination across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting of U.SV developmental test activities.
• Serve as primary integrator for test efforts, coordinating personnel, ranges, instrumentation, vessels, data systems, and resources.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams during test planning and execution.
• Develop test plans, procedures, schedules, risk-management products, and test readiness activities.
• Coordinate with government leadership and range organizations to resolve issues.
• Evaluate results, document deficiencies, and support technical reports and briefings.
• Provide technical leadership to USV operators and test specialists; operate USVs when required by qualifications.
