Job summary

HighRes in Beverly, MA is seeking a Robotic Automation Engineer II to own complex system deployments, from commissioning with robots and instruments to integrating CellarioScheduler in a scalable lab platform.

You will lead end-to-end workflow design with the Applications team, validate hardware and software through FAT/SAT, and support multi-system deployments while mentoring peers and ensuring customer success across life sciences projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s and 3+ years; or Associate’s and 6+ years
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, or supporting laboratory automation or industrial robotics systems in a customer-facing setting
• Experience with laboratory automation scheduling software such as CellarioScheduler, Green Button Go, Momentum, Overlord, or equivalent
• Proficiency in C# or another object-oriented programming language
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical deployments with minimal supervision
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting robotic systems at both hardware and software levels

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of commissioning complex systems, integrating robots, instruments, and CellarioScheduler into a scalable platform
• Modify and troubleshoot CellarioScheduler workflows across complex deployments and extend system behavior in C#
• Partner with Applications on end-to-end workflow design, contributing deployment and integration insights
• Own the acceptance path, verifying hardware, software, and integration deliverables before handover
• Support multi-system deployments with coordinated workflows and cross-system state tracking
• Execute FAT and SAT for complex systems with minimal external assistance
• Configure and troubleshoot automation hardware and devices through firmware operations and diagnostics
• Write and maintain automation software in C#, including scripts and drivers
• Configure relational databases supporting scheduling applications using SQL
• Work with SCARA and articulated robots from manufacturers like Kuka and Denso
• Contribute to system design reviews and cross-functional meetings to identify risks
• Create and maintain technical documentation for deployed systems
