Job summary

HighRes is seeking a Robotic Automation Engineer I at its Beverly, MA headquarters. You will commission robotic systems and lab instruments, troubleshoot workflows, and ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria. Expect travel up to 40% domestically and internationally while growing ownership in automation projects.

You will work with CellarioScheduler and other lab-automation tools, develop C# and Python code, and document solutions for customers in cutting-edge life sciences environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience with 2+ years in automation
• Hands-on experience deploying or supporting laboratory automation or robotics systems
• Experience with scheduling software for labs
• Proficiency in C# or similar OO language
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Comfortable in lab/technical environments
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of commissioning standard and complex systems with robots and instruments
• Modify, troubleshoot, and integrate scheduling workflows with hardware
• Verify hardware, software, and integration deliverables against criteria
• Perform FAT and SAT for standard/complex systems
• Configure databases for scheduling apps using SQL
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Provide system training to customers
• Manage customer relationships and project status communications
