Job summary

ROCKWOOL Byhalia plant in Mississippi is seeking a Cold End Robot Operator to run the Unit Load robot on a 5AM–5PM rotating schedule. You will monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and coordinate handovers with the Lead Hand and Supervisor in a safety-focused environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth shifts, maintain equipment readiness, and support production changes. ROCKWOOL emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and employee development.

Qualifications

• Experience with machine set-up, operation, and computer-based controls.
• Knowledge of equipment operation and safe jams clearance.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, shutdown procedures, checklists.
• Understanding of health and safety in manufacturing.
• Experience communicating equipment status and production issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Unit Load robot, use WinCC, and make routine adjustments to support production needs.
• Respond to alarms and clear line, label, and equipment jams by following established safe procedures.
• Maintain the pallet de-stacker, strapper, hooder, and labeler by changing rolls, adjusting tension, and keeping equipment ready.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems, prepare for product changes, and report breakdowns or repair needs to the Lead Hand or Supervisor.
• Complete shutdown tasks, keep the work area clean and safe, and hand over open issues to the next shift.

We are seeking Cold End Robot Operator based in our Byhalia, MS manufacturing facility (4594 Cayce Road). The position is scheduled for 5AM-5PM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

In this role, you'll operate and monitor the Unit Load robot and related equipment, ensuring materials move safely and consistently through the production line. You'll keep operations running smoothly, support product transitions, and communicate equipment issues quickly to maintain workflow efficiency.

Working closely with the Lead Hand, Supervisor, and cross-functional teams, you'll share shift updates, report unusual conditions, and ensure seamless handovers-making you a critical part of our production success.

Compensation

$21/hour, plus annual performance bonus based on factory-wide key performance indicators.

What You Bring
